After doing my annual October Artober linocut project, I needed to practice painting again and start on sewing up Christmas gifts. “Novato After the Storm” was inspired by my drive back from Santa Rosa after shopping & lunching with my sisters. It was a bit more somber in tones - the clouds were spectacular! I wish I could have taken some pictures of them. My acrylic painting of “Sunset Clouds & Trees” is based on scene on a commute home at the beginning of the month. Many people took pictures of the sunset on this day and posted them on social media. The clouds and sunset was quite colorful and dramatic. And then I visited my mountain series again this month.
